Description
Tom Kelly is celebrating his 50th year of writing; you and & I may call it his “golden anniversary” in literature. The man has been retaining information for at least 84 years. He inherited his Grandfather’s ability to have almost total recall of the written word.
This volume of essays, Unfaded Roses is Colonel Tom Kelly’s 23rd offering from his writing career. Tom helps us revisit a hard life lived to the fullest and takes us back to his earliest years in forestry. He shares discovery in a graveyard, on a high school football team, and in the harsh Southern culture of post-depression America.
Tom has said in the past that he was sorry that he didn’t keep a hunting journal. He did, however, keep two. One was his 1996 book, The Season, a look at Spring Turkey Hunting in 1995. His second journal detailed Spring Hunting in 2012 and you will find it here in Unfaded Roses.
